Dear blue lake, I love to look at you,
Dreaming of swimming in you.
I wish I could fall into you,
Let myself forget I have to breathe,
Forget the sun and stars,
That light up my ever changing sky,
Feel your warm water washing me,
I wish and I dream so much of you.
But I won’t step close,
Because I have seen my soul dissolve in you,
My flesh turn into food for you,
Apart in pieces, feeding your bottomless thirst.
This time I will walk back to the forest,
I will search for flowers and find the rivier,
At the top of the mountain rocks,
Where the water is so clear I can see my soul,
Water that you once used to be,
At the top of the rocky mountain high,
Where I found you spending time alone,
Looking at the wide green dale.
It was your dream to bed down,
In a deep, green velvet valley.
